Apartment Renovation Sitges
STARTING POINT & PROJECT NEEDS
This renovation project in Sitges began with a clear set of priorities.
The apartment needed to better support everyday living while respecting both budget and existing elements. The clients wanted to create an additional bedroom, retain and reuse the existing kitchen, and design the entire space around a much-loved aubergine sofa that would become the emotional anchor of the home.
The challenge lay in working within the existing layout while improving functionality, light, and flow—without starting from scratch. The goal was to achieve a home that felt warm, cohesive, and personal, rather than over-designed.

OUR APPROACH & IMPLEMENTATION
To meet these needs, we opened the kitchen to the living area, creating a stronger connection between spaces and allowing natural light to travel more freely through the apartment.
The layout was carefully reconfigured to make room for the additional bedroom, ensuring privacy while maintaining a sense of openness in the shared areas.
The existing kitchen cabinetry was thoughtfully reused, helping to control costs while reducing waste. Materials, colours, and finishes were selected to complement the aubergine sofa, using natural textures and soft tones to build a harmonious palette inspired by Mediterranean living.
Every design decision focused on balance—between old and new, function and atmosphere.
THE RESULT
The result is a bright, functional, and welcoming home that feels effortless and lived-in.
The new layout supports daily life more intuitively, while the open-plan living space enhances both light and connection. By reusing key elements and designing around meaningful pieces, the apartment gained character without losing practicality.
The finished home reflects a warm Mediterranean feel, where thoughtful renovation meets personal storytelling—proving that good design does not require excess, but clarity, sensitivity, and purpose.
